The man who steals a kiss prematurely is not necessarily confident and may have no sense of what is appropriate and when. He is not paying any attention to body language and is just “going for it” despite the fact that she has given him no encouragement (and maybe some obvious discouragement in the form of her body language, to which he is oblivious).

The man who is confident and can tell through the attraction that he has already created that she is receptive to a kiss, wouldn’t really be stealing a kiss, but the surprise would be a welcome one because he is a master of timing. He has learned to read and understand body language well enough to predict, with a degree of success, how the kiss will be received.

What makes him attractive is that he doesn’t hesitate until it becomes awkward.
